1. 1. Parties and Scope

These terms apply to all restoration, repair, diagnostic consultations, and woodcraft advisory services agreed between Freshposturedaily ('we', 'us') and the client ('you'). By booking a service, dropping off an item at our Edinburgh workshop, or accepting a quote, you agree to these practical conditions. Our work is strictly focused on timber restoration and structural repair.

2. 2. Booking and Quotes

All quotes issued via photograph or initial phone call are non-binding estimates until physical inspection of the furniture piece occurs. A formal quote is confirmed once our craftsperson examines joint integrity, timber rot, hidden fractures, or finish adhesion. Quotes remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue.

3. 3. Performance of the Work and Access to the Premises

When collection, delivery, or on-site touch-ups are scheduled, you agree to provide safe, unimpeded access to the premises, including clear hallway passages and stairs. Our craftspeople take proper care when moving furniture, using protective quilts and wraps. If access is unsafe or tenement stairs prevent reasonable carrying, we reserve the right to reschedule.

4. 4. Prices, Payment After Completion and Invoices

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work, once you have inspected the finished furniture in our workshop or at your property. We accept payment exclusively via cash on completion or direct bank transfer against our written invoice. We do not accept card payments, card terminals, or electronic checkout links. An itemised invoice will be provided upon completion.

5. 5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule an on-site visit or collection without penalty up to 24 hours before the agreed appointment time. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a travel charge of £25 to cover logistics. For active workshop jobs, cancellation requires settlement of work completed and materials purchased up to that moment.

6. 6. Liability, Insurance and Complaints

Freshposturedaily maintains full public liability insurance covering your property and furniture while under our care. In the unlikely event that a finish does not perform as expected or a repaired joint fails, notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery. We will inspect the piece promptly and re-execute the repair without additional charge if the fault stems from our workmanship.

7. 7. Governing Law

These terms and any contracts formed under them are governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts sitting in Edinburgh regarding any disputes arising from our services.
